On Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. a meeting conducted by the Frankfort CUSD #168 will take place at the Office of Student Services, 508 East Main Street, West Frankfort, IL. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and/or home schools within the district for the 2024-2025 school year. If you are a parent of a home-schooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of Frankfort Community School district, you are urged to attend. 1st place in the 4x400m relay - Hendrix Woods, Jaden White, Ayden Price, & Bryson Aaron (all 8th)
3rd place Discus- Alexander Pitt (7th)
3rd place in the 7th grade 4x200m relay - Rhett Melvin, Lucas Fralick, Jaylin Brown (6th) and Grayson Hopkins (6th)

Tonight is the CJHS Parent Group meeting! It's never too late to get involved. We will be discussing end of year activities for 8th graders as well as Teacher Appreciation Week, among other topics. Please join us at 6pm in the Central Junior High Library!


More students visited the Historical Museum and Veterans' Memorial Museums today. We are learning that West Frankfort has a rich history available to us nearby, including an old time karaoke machine (aka player piano).



Officer Jason and his K9 support dog Gary from the Marion Police Department visited some of the 7th grade GEAR up classes today. The students really enjoyed some canine collaboration in class!

CJHS March Students of the Month are 7th graders, Eliana Campbell and Joran Labrie and 8th graders, Lily Marks and Jaden White. Students of the Month are voted on by the faculty and staff of CJHS. Congratulations!!


Some CJHS boys visited the Veteran's Museum today. They asked good questions and learned some rich military history.
