The Illinois Elks are offering a free children's orthopedic clinic. All the information can be found on the attached flyer.

Don't forget that today is our first annual Block Party for registration. Come up and get your locker and lock, schedule, parking sticker, and physical if needed. We also have free school supplies and Silver Jewels is selling Redbird wear.

With a slight tweak to the Dismissal times for half days, the updated 2024-2025 Public School Calendar has been posted on all of the school district's websites in the button section. You may also access it at this link: https://5il.co/2ssdv.

Our FCHS Athletic Handbook is now available online on your Teacherease account. Anyone that plans on participating on any athletic team needs to complete the five forms included in the handbook. Also, any student playing football needs to upload a copy of their insurance cards. Athletic Physicals can be turned into the FCHS office. All Fall Sports Athletes must have this completed before the first day of tryouts/practice on Monday, August 12, 2024. Students who have not completed the online athletic registration process will not be allowed to tryout, or participate in practice, until this process is completed. Please contact the FCHS office with any questions.

Thank you to our 2024 Game Day Sponsors for our home football games. Sam C. Mitchell, Banterra Bank, Franklin Hospital, and Deaconess Express Care are all great supporters of our FCHS Student Athletes. We are just one week away from our FCHS Block Party. Our kick off to the 2024-2025 school year is on Tuesday, August 6th, from 10am-4pm. In addition to getting your schedule, locker and lock, and getting a parking sticker, we will also have the following activities: - Silver Jewels selling Redbird apparel - SIH handing out school supplies - The Car-A-Van providing physicals for only $10 - An ice cream truck from 12-2pm - A photobooth by the Student Council - RBA selling yearbooks - Music by Mr. Wright and Mr. Wilson We will have computers setup for anyone who has not completed on-line registration. Mrs. Bates will also be available for anyone who wants to discuss a schedule change. We look forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday, August 6th for our first annual FCHS Block Party.

I am excited to get to know all of you and to have a successful music program in the coming year. WEAR TENNIS SHOES (No sandals or flip-flops. This will make marching impossible and unsafe while marching and playing the instrument).Bring water and eat breakfast. (It will be hot and marching while playing the instrument is surprisingly physically difficult).Bring instrument, all music, flip-folder, and lyre (if applicable) every day We will take some time out of the first day to get to know each other and talk about my expectations for the band. We have decided to expand the time of our Back to School Block Party from 10am-4pm in order to accommodate more people. Again, our Block Party will take place between the High School and Gym. This is your opportunity to pick up your schedule, get a parking sticker, turn in your physical (Freshman), get your locker and lock, register for a bus, and get a yearbook. We ask that you please complete the online registration process prior to Tuesday, August 6th if you have not already done so. We will have computers setup for those of you who have not completed online registration on the day of our Block Party. We will have snacks and school supplies available as well. Some of our teachers, Dental Safari, and SIU Care-A-Van will also be on site. The Care-A-Van will be providing school and athletic physicals for $10. This event will take place of our traditional registration days. Please mark this on your calendar and plan on attending our Back to School Block Party. Enjoy the rest of your summer break. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, August 6th!!
