Attention Redbird Students who need a sports physical. West Frankfort Family Healthcare Clinic with Jason Dorris PA-C and AST Primary with Emily Roach NP will be offering FREE sports physicals to any student that lives in the district and plans to play a sport, on July 26th at 1pm thru 4pm. These will be conducted at their offices which are located in the J and S pharmacy building.

We just had another athlete come in to get our last 3 tickets. Great Job Dayanara! The unit office is officially out of tickets. Coaches, we have had a few people contact us for more tickets. If you or your athletes are having trouble selling them have them bring them back to the unit office and we will get them sold. Thank you all for helping out the Athletic Trust Fund!

We are selling raffle tickets for the Athletic Trust Fund. The winner will be drawn at the Redbird Scramble on July 29th. First drawn name will win a Blackstone Griddle donated by Herrin Rehab and Wellness. The second drawn name will win a Yeti 45 Tundra Cooler donated by Aaron Hopkins, Attorney at Law. The third name will win a helicopter ride donated by Black Diamond Harley Davidson. Our HS coaches are giving raffle tickets to their players today so contact them to get yours. There are only 600 tickets. You can also contact the Unit Office and get yours there as well.

We will be having the Redbird Scramble this year. The date is July 29th. It will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start, 4 man team. We will get the registration paper out as soon as possible. You can mail it in or just email bharris@wfschools.org or mthompson@wfschools.org with your team members. We will be selling raffle tickets starting next week for prizes. A meal will be provided after the scramble along with a door prize.

A notice of a change in the Schedule of Regular Board of Education Meetings has been posted to the District's website, as has a Public Notice for a Scheduled Hearing on an Amended FY 22 Budget.
Around 11 a.m. today, an Illinois Central School Bus transporting some Pre-Kindergarten students was involved in a traffic accident at the corner of Cherry and East Main Streets in West Frankfort. The WFPD and the WFFD responded to the scene and evaluated all involved. The students involved were able to leave with their parents.

The District’s COVID-related numbers at the end of the following days included the following: Tuesday, March 15, 2022 - one student excluded; March 16, 17, and 18 - no cases reported; March 21, 22, 23, and 24 - one student positive.
The District’s COVID-related numbers by the end of the day on the following days included the following: Tuesday, March 8: , 2022, one student positive; Wednesday, March 9: one student positive with one quarantined; Thursday, March 10: one student positive with one quarantined; Friday, March 11: two students positive with one quarantined; and Monday, March 14: one student positive.
The District’s COVID-related numbers by the end of the day on Monday, March 7, 2022, showed no cases to report.
